10 Months

Well here I am again writing a late post - 10 months, when she'll actually be 11 months old next week!  It has been a very busy couple weeks for us, and we have a busy few weeks ahead of us...all leading up to the little ladies FIRST BIRTHDAY!!! Wow, I just can't believe it!  My baby won't be so much of a baby anymore!

She has been standing up with support for about 3 weeks now, and get more and more confident each day!  I think she may be walking before the end of this year!

Her first Halloween was a blast!  She was a pumpkin and got to go trick or treating with her bff Adalyn.

Baileigh enjoying a nice afternoon swing with her Daddy!

Baileigh went to Disneyland for the first time on November 14th.  She LOVED it.  We had such a great time.  Both her Grandmas got to come as well.  She was such a good girl and loved every ride!

Baileigh gobbled up her turkey dinner on her first Thanksgiving.

So far the holidays have been so much fun this year.  We had a great fall and are looking forward to Christmas and seeing her open up presents and try to eat lots of wrapping paper!

We had to do lots of theatrics to get Baileigh to look at the camera for a family photo :-)

Bye Bye!  Baileigh's favorite thing to do it wave...she does it about every 2 or 3 minutes!

9 Months

I made it my mission this week to make sure I posted her 9 Month update on time!  Mission accomplished! Baileigh and I (and my mom) took a 10 hour road trip up to Chico last week to visit my sister, Kaitlin, and her husband, Doug.  I was apprehensive about the drive, considering Baileigh hates sitting in her carseat for even 10 minutes!  Well, with quite a few tricks up my sleeves and lots of prayers, she actually did SO well.  I still can't believe it, she even stuck to her normal nap schedule while on the road!  I was thankful to have had my mom with me to help out, and we really had a great time visiting Kate and Doug.  We are looking forward to seeing them in a few months when they come home for Christmas.
Baileigh continues to grow physically and mentally each and every day.  She is still doing the army crawl, and loves to make her way around the house.  She is getting so smart too.  She can wave hello and bye bye, dance to music, and today she puckered her lips to give Cody a kiss for the first time.  And of course, we continued to give her kisses for about thirty minutes non stop!  She is eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner - and enjoys each meal!  She protests some new foods, but for the most part is a pretty good eater.

Next week she has her 9 Month check up with her doctor - we are eager to see how much she has grown!

8 Months

When I first started this blog over a year ago, I was so on top of keeping it current.  Now, sadly, with a crawling munchkin ruling my life, I haven't been able to keep up with it!  So I'm sorry that my "8 Month" post is actually just a week away from my "9 Month" post (that is - if I post it on time!).  Needless to say - the past month or so has been pretty busy.  Baileigh personality has tripled and she is SO fun.  She is cheerful 99% of the time - which wasn't true for her first 6 or 7 months.  I think now that she can move around and explore, she is very content to play by herself.  Before she was crawling, she would SCREAM if I left her side.  Not fun.  But now she is a little explorer and loves getting into lots of new stuff!! Even though she keeps me on my toes, I am so happy that SHE is happy.  Happy Mama right here :-)

She's grown so much the past month and has had so many new experiences, so I thought I'd try to sum it all up in a Likes/Dislikes list.  Here goes:

Likes:
1. Puffs/Cheerios.  Instant mood changer.  Whenever I'm in a bind and don't know how to cheer her up, a Puff always does the trick!
2. Daddy pushing her around on her car.  She LOVES this - it's so cute!
3. The dog and cat.  Not too happy about this - but oh well.  Can't win them all!
4. Food.  She is such a good eater.  She loves all kinds of fruits and veggies.

Dislikes:
1. Carseat.  Prayers appreciated for my 8-9 hour drive to Northern California next week :-(
2. Loud places and noises.
3. Too much attention.  When she is in an unfamiliar place and has lots of people looking at her, she usually starts crying.  But I guess that pretty normal for her age.
4. Having her face and hands cleaned after meals.

Well I think that sums it up pretty well - stay tuned for a 9 month update!

Seriously, how cute is that face?! Can't you just feel her excitement?!

Enjoying some nice fall weather with a picnic outside!

Baileigh's first "ponytail".  Her hair is pretty long and sticks STRAIGHT up, so I tried something to tame it a little bit.  Unfortunately, Dad was not a fan.  So we just go with the crazy hair now :-)

Took this last picture this morning on our walk.  It is SO nice out.  We love October!! We are looking forward to come cool weather and pumpkin-flavored everything!

7 Months

7 Months!

This girl loves spending time outside!

When she doesn't like a new food - she REALLY doesn't like it!

Baileigh's first boat ride - it took her a few minutes to get over her life jacket, but she really loved it!  Daddy even let her steer!

Baileigh's had a few days off and on where she hasn't felt so good, we think those top two teeth will be coming through soon.
Her big girl cup - one of her favorite things!

I can't resist snapping pictures every time she wears her UCI onesie, just in case she becomes an Anteater like her Mama!

Our evening walk - right before dinner.  She loves to sit in her stroller, look at the lake, and let the wind blow through her hair.  She could sit out here for hours if I let her!

6 Months

Well we have officially made it halfway through her first year! Before we know it we'll be celebrating her first birthday!  This girl gets more personality by the minute, she is just so much fun.  She is getting very familiar with our family and lights up when she sees people she recognizes.  It's adorable.  She is still learning how to sit up on her own, and should be able to do it without a "spotter" pretty soon.  She loves dinner time, she eats sweet potatoes and cereal most nights, but she has avocado sometimes.  In the mornings she gets either banana or pears, but prefers the pear.  We are slowly introducing new foods to her every couple of days, and it has been so much fun to see her reaction to new tastes.  I'm going to try peas this week - wish me luck!

 Baileigh's first Fourth of July
This girl loves to drink water from our cups
She gets about a hundred kisses a day

This picture cracks me up.  I took this while I was working in the church nursery.  Baileigh sits with me at check-in sometimes and greets the incoming families.  She usually is smiling :-)
