4 Months

It's been a few weeks since I updated the blog, and Baileigh is growing and changing so much everyday - I can hardly keep up!  She can roll over completely now like a pro, and even roll herself back on to her back.  If she is on her back, she is playing with her toes.  She loves to squeal and laugh and talk.  And she loves putting everything and anything in her mouth!  At her four month check up, she weighed in at 13 pounds 10 oz, and 24 inches long.  Here are some pictures of her from the last few weeks, along with her 4 month pictures.

Baileigh and I had such a great time getting together with my good friend, Ally Schreiner (Hinkle), and her daughter Reagan.  We even had an impromptu photo shoot of the girls!!  It will be so much fun to watch them grow up together!

Baileigh enjoying her new toy - her bouncer!!  She only likes to sit in it for about 5-10 minutes - just enough time for mama to eat lunch everyday!

Mother's Day

Crazy how much can change in a year...last year on Mother's Day was when we told our mom's that we were expecting!  And now, here we are, with our little almost-four-months-old cutie pie!  And next year...I'll (hopefully) have lost all the pregnancy-weight because I'll be chasing around a one year old!  Yikes!!

I started my mother's day off the best possible way - snuggling in bed with Baileigh because she chose to wake up at 5:30!  I had a great morning working at church in the nursery, while Cody stayed home with the baby.  Then we did something very exciting in the afternoon...we took Baileigh in the pool for the first time!!  We have been trying to get her in for a few weeks, because she has really been enjoying bath time lately, and we figured she would enjoy splashing in the water.  We were right!  As soon as we put her in the water she started kicking her little chubby legs like crazy.  She loved it!  We can't wait to try it again!  Cody did a great job taking care of me on my first Mother's Day, I felt extremely loved and blessed.  Now...time to start figuring out what I'm gonna do for Father's Day :-)

The Giggles

Baileigh started laughing about a month ago, and we have been trying to catch it on camera ever since.  There have been about a hundred failed attempts.  It never fails - she will be cracking up, but as soon as we pull out the video camera she freezes.  Well...last night right before her bath we finally caught it on camera!  We were so excited.  As soon as I stopped recording Cody and I looked at each other and gave each other a huge High Five.  So, without any further adieu, here is the cutest little laugh ever:

Cody's Birthday

Yesterday was Cody's 27th birthday.  The morning started off with Cody's favorite ritual - sitting on the couch together drinking coffee and chatting while Baileigh played with her toys on the floor.  We had to run a few errands during the day, came home and took a nap (which is essential now if we are going to be doing something later, since we are always lacking in the sleep department!), and got the house ready for our family to come over for pizza and cake.  We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day.  We all sat outside and chatted while our four nephews ran around like the crazy boys that they are!  All in all, it was a great day, and Cody thoroughly enjoyed his first birthday celebration as a dad!!

Three Months

I can hardly believe the little munchkin is 3 months old.  She is getting bigger and getting more personality everyday.  She started laughing about a week ago, but it is still hard to get a good laugh out of her.  We try all the time though!  I'm sure she's sick of our attempts.  At her last checkup (a week ago) she weighed in at 12 pounds even.  Here's a few pics from the past month:

Visitors from PA!

This past week was such a great week because we got to spend it with my grandparents!  My Grammy and Pappy made the trip all the way from Pennsylvania to visit us for 10 days and meet little Baileigh.  They got in late Thursday night, the 14th, so I didn't get to see them until I went to my mom's early Friday morning.  As soon as Baileigh got into my Grammy's arms, she got the biggest smile on her face.  She smiled and cooed at them and it was the sweetest thing ever - it was almost like she knew exactly who they were and she had been waiting to meet them.  It was a moment I will never forget!

Two Months

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time today to write much - it's cleaning day over here at the Nelson's and there is a lot to do before my grandparents arrive from Pennsylvania tonight.  Can't wait for them to see miss Baileigh Boo!!  She's two months old today...here are some pics:
